Multiple Text - Names, Quotes, Sayings etc
Create a comma or new line separated text (.txt) file with all the required text blocks in the order they should be printed. If there are fewer entries than printed items, the text space on items after the last entry will be left blank .
CLick Multi Text and browse to the file to add the multiple text entries to the designer. The MultiText entries will initially appear at the top left of the designer.
Edit font size with Mouse-Wheel, select font, color and style as normal text entries, and drag to position the text.
Select 'Fortune Cookie Quotes' from the Pre-Sets drop-down to auto load an example.
When the MultiText Names List appears on the designer, the longest entry in the list is displayed. Shorter entries are centered to the longest. Mouse over MultiText Count to cycle through the entries. When the mouse leaves the MultiText Count, the longest entry will be displayed again, so you can make sure it doesn't cover any other objects. For multi line entries, right click the displayed names and select Left or Center to align the lines of text.
If you have matching MultiText entries and Individual Images, when you mouse over the MultText Count, the images will cycle through with the text, so you can check they match. The MultiText entries are displayed in the order they are listed in the text file and the images in the order they were selected. You may have to re-name the images so they appear in the correct (alphabetical) order to match the text.
To see how it works, select 'Multi Image Demo' and then 'Fortune Cookie Quotes' from the Pre-Sets drop-down and mouse over the MultiText Count label to cycle through images and quotes.
Right click this Single Line Demo Name List or this Multi Line Demo Name List or Demo Fortune Cookie Quotes and choose 'Save target as' to download and save example Name lists.
If you are making Tent Cards or Place Cards, folded horizontally with both faces printed, you can duplicate the MultiText list, and rotate it 180° so it will be right way up on the folded side. Right click the MultiText display on the designer (after you've added it) and select 'Duplicate' to add a copy, already rotated to 180°. Right click the copy to remove or rotate.
If you're using Windows 10 and the print file (.XPS) won't open, you'll need to re-install the XPS Viewer app.
With Windows 10, you can convert the XPS Print File to PDF. Open the XPS file, choose Print from the File Menu, then choose Windows Print to PDF as the Select Printer option.
